At right the Murphys General Store is depicted with people enjoying the day on benches
out front. At the bottom Gano illustrates a lupine (a native
wild flower to the area) amidst aging letters, a stopwatch, ink pen and square nails from the 19th century.

hub of the community where
you can still find great food, music and the ambiance of
the gold-rush mountain community.
